Historical Heritage
One of the main attractions of Laujar de Andarax is the Church of the Incarnation. This impressive Mudejar style building houses inside an image of the Virgin, the work of the renowned sculptor Alonso Cano, as well as a valuable collection of paintings of the Dutch school.
The town hall, built in baroque style, dates from the seventeenth century and is another testimony to the historical splendor of Laujar. In addition, the town has 15 historic fountains, dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, scattered throughout the town, adding that the natural environment of Laujar de Andarax is equally impressive. The source of the Andarax River, located in the municipality, is a valuable natural heritage that attracts visitors from all over. This spring is not only a place of great beauty, but also a source of life.
