This Sunday, March 19 will be inaugurated the temporary exhibition on "The Cadastre of Ensenada, Magna fiscal inquiry for the relief of the Vassals and better knowledge of the Kingdoms (1749 -1756). Barranco de Poqueira 1752", in the municipality of Bubión. The curators of the exhibition are Raúl Ruiz (UGR); Ángel Aguilar and Concepción Camarero (UMA). Also, a book edited by the Ministry of Finance and Public Function will be presented, explaining the exhibition.
The General Directorate of Cadastre has been developing for years a work of dissemination of its activities through, among other means, a traveling exhibition of the cadastral work developed over time, starting as an exponent of maximum interest in the dissemination of the Cadastre of Ensenada.
Thus, the project devised in the mid-eighteenth century by Don Zenón de Somodevilla, I Marques de la Ensenada, for the profound transformation of the Public Treasury is an indisputable reference to understand the current taxation of our country and offer an exceptional image of the territory and society of that time, and making this project visible is a key activity for the General Directorate of Cadastre.
The exhibition of Barranco de Poqueira will travel in the coming months the 3 municipalities that form it, Bubión, Capileira and Pampaneira, starting this Sunday March 19 at the Casa de la Cultura de Bubión.
